Quilling was all the rage for women of the 19 th century. Considered a “lady like” pastime it is still practiced today to make on-of-a-kind works of art using rolled paper. Originally the craft was created by twisting thin strips of paper around quill feathers of large birds – today special tools are available to help wind the paper tightly into coils that can be shaped to make intricate designs. Students will create a project of their own by learning the basic forms and arranging them on cards to create their own masterpiece! Supplies provided.
