Overview

A baseball skills camp focusing on the five positions. Ending with a HR Derby & Raffle. All proceeds go to teens battling pediatric cancer.

This project proposes a community-based Baseball Skills Camp and Home Run Derby designed to bring together young baseball players, teens battling pediatric cancer, and their families in a supportive, inclusive, and impactful environment. The event will feature skill rotations, including hitting, pitching, infield, outfield, and catching, along with a home run derby, meet-and-greet opportunities, and a raffle basket. By combining sports, service, and community engagement, this event aims to create meaningful connections and lasting memories for all participants.

This event will be made possible through partnerships with local baseball organizations such as the Rivercats, encouraging involvement from athletes, families, and community members. The target audience includes parents of youth baseball players ages 7–12, as well as teens currently battling pediatric cancer. Participants will benefit from skill development, fun competition, and the opportunity to build friendships within a caring community.

Project management roles are clearly defined to ensure successful execution, with responsibilities divided among project management, marketing, and outreach. We believe that no teen should be benched from the moments that make growing up unforgettable, as cancer is just one inning, and every teen still deserves their full game.
