About this event
- 7 hours
Your job is hard.
Are you experiencing increased demand for services with lower funding opportunities AND feeling like the mental health crisis is overwhelming your team?
Are you feeling like every day is a crisis, and you're always putting out fires? Like you're in survival mode as an organization and are also serving those in survival mode every day?
Do you sometimes struggle with having the energy to show up, and yet you have to energize your staff to keep working despite increased pressures and facing more frustrating and complex situations with clients?
Do you still feel like you are fighting the effects of the emotional trauma from the Covid saga, even years later?
We understand and are here to help you navigate these challenging times.
Join us for our Beyond Surival event designed just for nonprofit leaders. This is a safe space for nonprofit leadership to learn and experience support for the challenges you are facing today.
Unlike other trauma-informed training which focus only on how you serve the community, this training is designed to create a sustainable culture within the organization that brings trauma-informed principles organization-wide. We will discuss:
- organizational healing and systemic change (to address dysfunction and stabilize the organization)
- staff wellness and care (to help prevent burnout and create sustainability in your mission)
- trauma-informed governance (decision making for compassion-driven productivity)
- trauma-informed policies, spaces, and more (to show up in crisis and help pepople who are in survival, without developing secondary trauma)!
The price of this training goes up after March 20, so be sure to register today. As an added bonus, if you register two people, you can bring a third person for no extra cost! We want to help you as you make the world a more compassionate place!

Who are we?
Five Ives was built by Dr. Jessica Doering and Lauren Spigelmyer, M.Ed. on the notion that compassionate care and trauma-informed practices should first begin with organizational healing and change. We work with organizations in the helping professions across the country to create trauma care systems that prevent toxic stress and burnout in employees and foster long-term change for their clients.
As experienced leaders and trusted trauma care experts, we bring not only the research-backed understanding of trauma care, but the practical tools and strategies that really move the needle. Let us help you make the world a more compassionate place as you show up and do the amazing work you do every day to serve the community!
