Discover Beyond Surface, a curated contemporary art exhibition presented by the Lu Mourelle Art Gallery in the historic centre of Cascais, Portugal, from 4 to 31 August 2026.

Bringing together eight contemporary artists from Portugal, Spain, Germany, Romania and Brazil, the exhibition features original paintings, mixed media works and sculpture by Lu Mourelle, Alida Velea, Ana Archer, Berta Giner, Bella Kollek, Marcelo Barbosa, JReichler and Victor Costa.

Rather than presenting a single artistic direction, Beyond Surface explores the richness of contemporary artistic practice through diverse cultural perspectives, materials and visual languages. The exhibition offers visitors an opportunity to experience how originality, craftsmanship and creative expression converge across different artistic backgrounds.

Located in the heart of Cascais, the Lu Mourelle Art Gallery is an independent contemporary art gallery dedicated to presenting carefully curated exhibitions of original contemporary art by Portuguese and international artists. Since 2019, the gallery has welcomed collectors, interior designers, architects, art professionals and visitors from around the world.
