Beyond Prototypes: Ignite Your Adoption of Additive Manufacturing
Join us at Day Block Brewery in downtown Minneapolis for a workshop designed for product innovators.
A Hands-On Workshop Designed For:
- Product Development Engineers
 - Program Managers
 - Business Unit Leaders

Included:
- Lunch & refreshments
 - Parking
 - CEU credits on request

Overview
We all know that 3D printing is a powerful resource in the concept and prototyping phases of product development. In fact, a large majority of manufacturing and product based companies are running in-house FDM or desktop machines for that purpose. But recent advancements in additive manufacturing are changing the game and upping the stakes to move quickly beyond prototyping to production in order to get to market faster and be much more agile in the process.
This workshop is focused on accelerating your adoption of additive manufacturing as a tool to drive innovation and business success. From incremental shifts to transformational changes, our goal is to help you tap into the design freedom, speed, agility and quality that today's additive manufacturing technologies have to offer. The opportunities are vast and the time is now - before you get left behind.
1. The Fuel: Exploring the Technology & Material Options
Carl Douglass, CEO of DI Labs, will start by providing an overview of the additive manufacturing landscape so you can understand what's possible and where things are headed with the latest technology and materials advancements.
Topics Covered:
Polymer Printing
- Powder Bed Fusion
 - Photopolymers
 - Filament
 - Continuous Carbon Fiber

Metal Printing
- Laser Sintered Powder
 - Binder Jet Powder

2. Ignition: Applications for Incremental and Transformational Innovation
Carl Douglass will share applications of additive manufacturing from all stages of the product life cycle to demonstrate uses and spark your imagination. This segment will highlight how to apply the strengths of additive manufacturing to generate unique solutions, saving time, cost, and improving the results.
3. Keep it Burning: Put the Knowledge to Work in a Collaborative Workshop
David Tucker, Founder of ImplementAM and New Wave Mfg and an expert in new technology adoption, has crafted an interactive learning experience to help boost your creativity. He'll lead a session for the assessment of components and their designs, identifying areas of design innovation and weaknesses.
David’s hands-on session with help you:
- Identify product design and innovation opportunities
 - Uncover opportunities to drive business and market innovation
 - Apply additive manufacturing capabilities for unique solution development
 - Create connections with fellow workshop attendees

Event Features:
- A hands-on gallery of hundreds of samples showcasing a full spectrum of additive technologies & materials
 - Networking with industry peers
 - One-on-one discussions with industry technical and business leaders
