To the socially anxious who always bring a book...even to a party. We see you. We are you.

Browse our blind library, curated by our dear friends from our last book exchange. This evening will be grounded in our love for literature & self-reflection. Come connect with new and old friends through bookish activities and discussion.

What you'll be provided: Choose a book from our curated pre-wrapped list of books. Savoury and sweet snacks. Non-Alcoholic wine and warm tea.

What to bring: In keeping with our Spring theme of TIME CAPSULE, please bring a book that encapsulates this pivotal moment in your life and our world that someone should read in the future. Something you would include in a time capsule. Delve into your collection with intention, pondering what insights a future reader might glean from the pages you choose. Take the time to research both the book and its author, ensuring it's a literary treasure you'd be thrilled to discover yourself.

Dress code: Embrace Dark Academia aesthetics. Picture yourself as an anthropologist, archaeologist, or literature enthusiast immersed in a 90s movie, engrossed in the depths of a library. Think moody, brooding, with a touch of London prep school charm. ...But above all, wear what makes you feel good. Keep in mind that shoes will be removed upon entering the space, and we'll be convening on floor pillows. So, remember to bring your favorite socks or slippers if you prefer not to go barefoot.

Not one of our events is promised to be the same. Each salon is made up of the energy, life experiences and personality of the guests in attendance.

When contemplating participation in a Between Us gathering, we kindly request that you engage in thoughtful reflection regarding your resonance with the themes at hand and the energy you aspire to cultivate within the space. We encourage you to come alone and come vulnerable.

Between Us is an event series with a goal to provide an intimate third space for humans to gather and inspire deeper connection in our community. Tired of the bar scene in Toronto, we wanted to usher in a new era of 'going out' where making like-minded friendships and feeling good about yourself is the norm. Every salon this year will be a new opportunity to explore a new side of you within an intimate group of 16-25.
