About this event

  • 2 hours

When community members are authentically involved in evaluation, it’s more likely to reflect the priorities, values, and experiences of those communities.

But what does authentic community engagement look like? How can you effectively engage and be responsive to communities throughout a research project?

Join Wilder Research to explore and reflect on meaningful ways to engage communities in research.

What to expect:

  • Learn about some of the philosophies and culturally responsive approaches to engage communities.
  • Hear in-depth examples of ways we’ve integrated communities into research and evaluation projects, including both successes and learning moments.
  • Discuss your questions around engaging communities in research and crowd-source solutions.
  • Leave with resources and tools for learning about and engaging communities in your research and evaluation.

Attendees should have a basic understanding of the research and evaluation process and come prepared to engage with questions, scenarios, and discussion.

About the series

Evaluation is one way for your organization to reflect on your work, make changes to better achieve the outcomes you want, and communicate the impact of your work to funders and other stakeholders.

Wilder Research evaluation workshops help build or polish your evaluation skills and equip you with the tools and resources to do evaluation at your organization.

Who should attend?

These trainings are for nonprofit, foundation, and government staff and volunteers who are interested in building a foundational set of skills in program evaluation. Whether you already use some evaluation tools in your work or have no experience with evaluation, we’ll showcase practical approaches for incorporating evaluation into your work.
