You're invited to the Bethany Economic Development Summit! Please join us to hear Cornell Wesley discuss economic development in our area, and how communities can foster stronger communities through economic development. We'll also engage in a roundtable discussion of mutual issues, and how our neighboring communities can collaborate. Event Schedule: 12:30-1pm Event Registration1-2:30pm Keynote by Cornell Wesley2:45-4:00 Roundtable discussion on collaborations and mutual issuesCornell Wesley serves as an Economic Development Representative at the Economic Development Administration. A Morehouse College graduate, he has studied at Mercer University and holds a Master of Divinity from the Interdenominational Theological Center in Atlanta, Georgia.Cornell moved to Oklahoma City in 2015 to accept his current assignment as Economic Development Representative for the United States Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA). He is the primary point-of-contact for EDA programs in the state of Oklahoma and North Texas. Notably, he is the first African American EDA representative in the state of Oklahoma in over 22 years to be based and living in the state. A 2018 member of and a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma Class 31; and has been recognized as "Top 40 Under 40" by Oklahoma Magazine. Through his passion for economic development, he is building a strong foundation not only for his family's future but for the future of his vast community.
