You’re Invited to Compete in Our First Bering’s Burger Bash!

Join us on June 6 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at Bering’s Westheimer for a sizzling showdown celebrating Father’s Day! Fire up your creativity and grill your best burger on one of our Big Green Egg grills.Our competition will be judged by Owner/Pitmaster Jake Granville, along with Owner/Executive Chef Luis Lopez of Eastside BBQ and Arash Kharat of J-Bar-M Barbecue.What You Need to Know:Ingredients

  • We provide: Burger meat, grill space, and gloves
  • You bring: Buns, toppings, sauces, spices—everything else to make your burger shine

Time

  • Cooking kicks off at 9:00 AM and runs through 12:00 PM

Portions

  • 2–3 bite sliders to share with customers
  • 1 full burger for the judges

Grill Logistics

  • Grills will be pre-lit starting at 8:00 AM
  • Each team gets two prep tables
  • Tents will be set up for shade
  • Teams are responsible for clearing trash and taking leftover food (we’ll handle grill cleanup)

Event Timeline

  • 8:00–9:00 AM: Team setup & prep
  • 9:00 AM: Cooking begins + samples for customers
  • 11:30 AM: Judging & winners announced
  • 12:00 PM: Event ends & breakdown

Prizes

  • Grand Prize: $300 Bering’s gift card (per team member) + Big Green Egg accessories
  • Second Place: Big Green Egg accessories (per team member)
  • Third Place: YETI tumbler + spice (per team member)
