Bend Gear Meet 2024

The Outdoorist Oath alongside co-founder Pattie Gonia, and trusted allies Outside’s Gear Up Give Back program and local collaborator The Gear Fix invite the Bend, OR community to an evening of gear swaps, gear repairs, and celebrating our love for the outdoors!

Here are all the juicy deets for the event!

• This is a FREE event! Though we encourage folks to RSVP and donate.
• Swap used gear w/ community members. Everyone can participate, regardless of whether or not you bring items to swap!
• The GearFix will be hosting DIY patch and zipper repair workshops
• Come connect with local non-profits to learn how you can take action for planet, inclusion, and adventure in your community!
• Win prizes from outdoor & local brands
• This event will be hosted by Pattie Gonia with support from The Outdoorist Oath, GearFix, and Outside
• All unswapped items at the end of the night will be donated to Outside's Gear Up Give Back program which helps support The Oath's free educational resources and events!
• There will be free pizza and drinks at the event courtesy of Pizza Mondo and Humm Kombucha. Other refreshments and snacks will also be available.

Gear Swap Details:

1. Let us know you are bringing gear in your Eventbrite RSVP!
2. Come to the check-in table with your preloved gear.
3. All swap items will be donation-based.
4. No money will be exchanged for swap items.
5. Help us by finding a spot for your gear on designated tables. Make it look cute ;)
6. Upon check in, everyone will have access to swap items to keep the event equitable.
7. Swap items that don’t find a home by 8pm will be donated to Outside’s Gear Up Give Back program @ The Gear Fix.
8. If you donate gear to the swap, you’ll receive an additional giveaway ticket to win prizes from our amazing sponsors!
9. All swap items must be brought in clean conditions. We reserve the right to deny dirty items to maintain integrity of other items.
