Bench Building Workshop

907 McPhee AveCourtenay, BC
Saturday, May 23 from 12 pm to 2 pm
Overview

An introduction to woodworking and community building

Join The Shed Tool Library and the Comox Valley Resilience Project for a fun two hour workshop where you will learn to build a basic bench - and talk about how we can build for our public spaces!

This course is aimed at beginners and people new to carpentry. We will introduce you to a few power tools, basic woodworking skills, and safety in the workshop. You will build a bench which you can take home with you. We will also have discussions about public spaces - parks, bus stops, even front lawns - and simple projects you can do to share with your community.
