~ The gathering will open with soothing yoga to loosen the body and center the mind

~ Introduce Isolations to focus movement on specific parts of the body

~ Learn Combos to flow with the music

~ Review brief history of the dances and culture

~ We laugh a lot so come prepared to leave lifted ❤

What to Wear:

~ Comfortable yoga clothes and any belly dance attire: skirts, scarves, etc. just make sure it doesn't get in the way of your practice! 🙂

Please bring water to every class! It is important to stay hydrated.

About Ember:

Ember’s Belly Dance Journey began in 2009 with various styles including Egyptian, Arabic, and Zills.

The journey continued in 2014 with Improvisational Tribal Style & American Tribal Style – also referred to as Fat Chance Belly Dance, with the lovely Sarah Beth and Anam Cara Dance Company. Anam Cara means Soul Friend in Celtic.

In 2018, Ember joined the Performance Group called Darshan Dance Company based out of Denver, and lead by the most talented, Katie Bhairavi. Her focus of study was Indian Temple Dancing – called Odissi. As well as the above ITS, ATS, and FCBD styles. Darshan means to witness the Divine.

With these troupes and as a solo performer/teacher, she has performed and hosted dance workshops at various venues, events, and festivals including Elevation Belly Dance, Sonic Bloom, Envision, Tribal Vision, The Ogden, The Fox Theatre, The Museum of Contemporary Arts, First Fridays, The Black Box, Knew Conscious and Your Mom's House.

She is grateful for the opportunity to share her passion and expression with others. She wishes for all to remember that they are divine and beautiful. That they have a right to feel free and comfortable in their bodies and express themselves.

She is also a music teacher. A graduate of CU Denver in 2015 with a Bachelor's in Audio Production and Recording Arts, she now teaches various instruments to people of all ages.

Ember has always had a fascination with ancient wisdom and the arts. She is very excited to share this divine, expressive, and sacred practice & prayer with all of you!✨
