This training session will cover the fundamentals of being a trustee.

Being a trustee can be a daunting prospect, particularly if a person has no previous experience. This training session is there to provide an informal overview of the role and responsibility of being a trustee. By the end of the training, participants will:<ul><li>Understand the purpose of the governing document and how this differs from policies and procedures</li><li>Understand the concept of different legal structures, including limited liability</li><li>Know where to access the essential trustee guidance</li></ul>Please note that this training will take place via Zoom. A link will be sent by email prior to the event.About the trainerKris Rees is a fully qualified teacher with a background in IT and marketing. He has experience of developing and delivering a wide range of training to a diverse audience covering topics including digital inclusion, governance and trustee induction. Kris has worked as a development officer for the past five years at Glamorgan Voluntary Services, providing support to emerging and existing organisations with governance related queries.
