Behind the Words: A Mental Health Awareness Author Dialogue is an intimate event featuring International Author of Unfurled: A Self-Love Memoir, Candice Robin D. Davis in conversation with Aissa Z. Curry, Author of Move.Join the Authors for an intentional space to talk about mental health and their ongoing healing processes.This transparent author conversation will explore not only what was written in the books, but what made the authors write them, what those words meant beyond the pages, and how writing became a part of their move toward healing. Through guided dialogue, reflection, and selected readings, Candice and Aissa will discuss abuse, relationships, mental health conditions, storytelling, survival, and the ongoing unfurling process of becoming whole.Guests can expect a healing-centered experience that creates room for honest conversation, personal reflection, book purchases/orders, signing moments, and inner connection.A resource station will be available with insights on local facilities and licensed professionals along the lines of Mental Health. Some proceeds will go toward FREE therapy sessions for those without insurance or low income residents of the TriCity area through Unfurl Digital Marketing.
