This is a ticketed panel discussion organized by the Amarillo Tribune to deepen our community's understanding of the support available for our unhoused neighbors and to identify unmet needs.
Panelists will share their personal stories of experiencing homelessness, and panelists and representatives from organizations will answer questions from the audience and Amarillo Tribune journalists.
Our goal is to facilitate a conversation that acknowledges the work our city has done to support our unhoused neighbors and identifies what needs are still unmet that our community can work to address in the future. We want to build off of the momentum of the public-private partnership that has helped to facilitate Transformation Park's opening. This is an opportunity to look forward to identifying how we can build on our community's success by gathering those who can help to identify needs and those who can help make those needs a priority.
This event will be held at the Amarillo Area Foundation on April 29 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. It is free to attend with a suggested donation of $10.
