Behavior Expectations and Rules

Our online training classes are available to help early childhood professionals complete their required annual training hours and enhance their knowledge and skills to provide high-quality care for Nevada’s children.This platform is used for statewide web-based training courses and require registration on both Eventbrite and GoToTraining.Supporting Early Education and Development (SEED) works collaboratively with other agencies to provide opportunities for education and training in the field of early childhood through workshops and self-guided training materials.The Children’s Cabinet must follow Nevada Registry training guidelines in issuing credit for our webinar training’s. The Nevada Registry states,  “To receive credit for attending a training, it is imperative that attendees be present at the training for the entire scheduled time frame. If the accumulated time out of class (including late arrivals, extended breaks and early departures) extends beyond 15 minutes total, then no class credit should be granted. Instructor: Taylor JunNevada Registry Approved: 2.0 HourCKA:  Positive Interactions &amp; GuidanceWhen children understand the expectations for their behavior and when expectations are taught to children using a range of strategies, they are less likely to engage in challenging behavior. This training will discuss ways to promote social and emotional development through behavior expectation and classroom rules.Training Objectives:1﻿. Participants will learn the difference between rules and expectations.2﻿. Participants will learn how to implement behavior expectations.3﻿. Participants will learn how to implement rules into their classrooms.
Each professional development session offered by The Children’s Cabinet utilizes a knowledge check to ensure that our participants understand our training objectives and our instructors are providing a comprehensive learning experience. You can expect to receive a three question quiz or test at the end of each training.
