TARGET AUDIENCE:

Beginner level training appropriate for all school staff seeking a foundational understanding of behavior - paraprofessionals, special education teachers, administrators, general education teachers, and related service providers.

DESCRIPTION:

Through multiple real-life examples from preschool through adolescence, participants will learn and practice applying foundational behavior principles, setting up and analyzing ABC data to form a hypothesis and identify function, and using the Competing Behavior Pathway to develop function-based interventions to support students with diverse needs and disabilities.

This training will include 3 parts – 1. Booklet 2. Four online modules 3. Choice to attend a full day F2F training or 3-part live virtual meeting series (2.5 hrs per session). Learn more by visiting the Behavior 101 webpage.

Those registered on or before September 21, 2021 will receive the Behavior 101 Booklet in the mail to use while completing the modules prior to the face-to-face training. Those registered after September 21st can download the Behavior 101 Booklet from the Idaho Training Clearinghouse and will receive a printed copy the day of the event.

Lunch is not provided. Parking is free and available in the Best Western parking lot. Check-in will be from 8:00-8:30 am. The training runs from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm.

PD Credit will be offered for this training through the University of Idaho or Boise State University. Information and credit course registration will be available upon registering for the training.
