About this event

The Smith Master Student Association (SMSA) and MPO have partnered to offer a Beginning Tableau Workshop with instructor Brittany Fong. This workshop is only open to current Smith School students, and seats are limited. There is an option to attend online or attend in-person with lunch included.

This workshop is designed for people and teams who are beginners or new to Tableau.

Expected learning outcomes:

  • Understand the Tableau interface
  • Understand the difference between dimensions and measures
  • Understand how to use rows, columns, and marks card
  • Connect to data sources
  • Create basic graphs: bar charts, line graphs, tables
  • Create interactive graphs and dashboards in Tableau
