Beginner Finishing: Square/Rectangle Ornament

Description: In this class you will learn from LeightAnne Tucci how to finish a square/rectangle canvas into an ornament or hanging sign using the lacing technique, without any glue. Class is open to beginners who have never tried their hand at finishing, or anyone who is looking to hone their technique.

What You Will Learn:

• How to properly cut the canvas.
• Choosing and attaching backing materials.
• How to make cording.

Materials: Students will bring

• one stitched canvas, between 3” to 6”
• a 12”x12” piece of fabric (quilted cotton weight or similar) for the backing.
• Materials for cording can be purchased in the shop or students can bring in between 2-4 skeins of DMC Embroidery Floss or Perle Cotton 5.

Students will be provided with all other materials.
