These programs are designed as introductory lessons for first time participants. Archery instructor Chief Ranger Hillborn will show you the basics of archery including finding your draw length, proper safety and shooting techniques, and more! All equipment is provided.
This program is $15/participant and includes all essential equipment. Participants must use park provided bows and arrows.
The age requirement is 10+ years old. This 1.5 hour program is limited to 6 participants. Pre-payment is required for this program. You can pre-pay by calling the Visitor Center at (540)288-1400 and paying over the phone, or coming in person prior to the day of the program. Payment must be made by 12PM-noon the day before the program, or your reservation will be cancelled.
Parents and guardians must remain with their children under 18 years old throughout the duration of the program.
On the date of the program, you must check in at the front desk inside the Visitor's Center. Make sure to wear weather appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes!
