Roller skate from 2nd st. to our Karma Skate Shop Water Station on15th and back in a safe and friendly environment! You will get 1-on-1 instruction from Virginia Beach Roller Skate Community's founder and expert outdoor trail/boardwalk skater, Cheryl Turner! You will learn how to deal with the cracks, sand, going over asphalt, and other obstructions, learn how to slow down and stop using different techniques, and how to get up and down while wearing your skates, among other things! We will go slow, stop when you need to, and answer all of your questions! You also have a chance of winning an awesome reusable cup from Karma Skate Shop and a VB Roller Skate Community T-shirt! Safety gear is always strongly recommended!

Do I need my own skates?

Yes, unfortunately no one rents roller skates at the beach.

Where do I park?

There is a parking lot and parking meters at Grommet Island Park. You will have to pay to park. Its only $2 for an hour of parking!
