BEGINNER PYROGRAPHY (WOODBURNING) WORKSHOP

The Exeter Fine Crafts gallery opened for business in October, 1966, with its mission to promote crafts and craftsmanship in New Hampshire. Today, the mission remains the same. Our retail shop is a great place to find wonderful handcrafted work made by skilled artisans. In addition, we offer a variety of high quality craft classes for adults and professional craftspeople in our downstairs studios.

This beginner-friendly class will introduce you to the art of woodburning while creating a rustic sunflower design on a natural wood slice.

Let’s bring some warmth to wood with a sunflower-themed pyrography project! This beginner-friendly class will introduce you to the art of woodburning while creating a rustic sunflower design on a natural wood slice. We’ll cover wood types and surface preparation, transferring images or freehand sketching, and using a pyrography tool for shading and texture. Your supply kit includes a 7- to 9-inch basswood round, pencils, graphite paper, and sandpaper. No prior experience with woodburning, woodworking, or drawing is needed.
