How "beginner" is the class?

Accepted Answer

Although this is a beginner's class, it isn't basic. Beginner Photography ONE is a comprehensive course that breaks down the process of using a camera, regardless of your photography intentions. But don't be intimidated; anyone can do it, and many have. You will also receive a PDF copy of my book.

What kind of camera do I need?

Accepted Answer

Any camera that allows you to adjust the exposure manually is fitting for Beginner Photography ONE. Interchangeable lens cameras are shoo-ins, but you can use a compact or bridge camera with a fixed lens. Call or text (614) 427-1671 if you are unsure whether your camera is suitable.

How long is the class?

Beginner Photography ONE meets once a week for four weeks. Each session is scheduled for 1.5 hours, and we often run a little long because of questions and hands-on practice. The course includes a bonus class outing that lasts at least two hours and sometimes longer—minimum 8 hours of instruction.

Is there an age limit?

All ages are welcome to attend, but the majority of our students are adults. Although we have had students as young as 12 years old participate without issue, it all comes down to your child's ability to follow along. You can opt for a Personal Session if the class is too challenging.

Where are you located?

Accepted Answer

Classes are held at Haven Collective, 2025 Riverside Drive, Columbus, Ohio 43221 (between Trabue Rd. and 5th Ave.) The building is wheelchair accessible with ample free parking.
