Frequently asked questions

What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?

If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll cancel two hours ahead of time and let you know and post on our Facebook page. You will receive a full refund. This could include stormy weather, unseasonably cool conditions, or when the river is too high or low to paddle safely.

What is the minimum age requirement?

Minimum age is 12. Anyone under the age of 18 requires a parent or legal guardian to be present. All participants must sign a waiver to participate.

What should I wear?

You may choose to wear a bathing suit, shorts, yoga attire, or whatever is most comfortable for you! We do not recommend extremely loose items, as it could interfere with your paddling experience.

Do I need to have experience?

No experience required! We will teach you the basics of paddleboarding safety and navigation before you set off to play in the fountain water and enjoy the views of the downtown skyline.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Yes, for your own safety, please be sure that you are able to swim and able to float in the rare event that you fall off your board. Our instructors will be nearby to assist you if you happen to fall off.

What should I bring?

All equipment will be provided. We recommend you bring your own sunblock, hat, water bottle, water shoes (highly recommended), a dry bag if you need to take anything on the water with you, and towel. If you plan to bring your phone on the water we also recommend you put that in a waterproof case.

Will I get wet?

Well, only if you fall ;) ...or if you want to paddle through the fountains intentionally. Otherwise, we will provide instruction away from the fountains and you will then be able to paddle within a designated area, but you are able to paddle around the fountain sprays, even when they are spraying!
