Our educators are certified in Wild Mushroom Foraging, Identification, and Food Safety through NC USDA. Focusing on various species within the genera through the Blue Ridge Mountains, such as "Pecan Truffle" Tuber iyonii, "Hen of the Woods" Grifola frondosa, and "Matsutake" Trichloma magnivelare, a basic knowledge of the fungal kindgom and latin binomial syntax if highly suggested but not mandatory for the intermediate mushroom identification class.
