Join local calligrapher, Gibbs, at Local Love CHS to learn the basics of pointed pen calligraphy! This workshop is designed for beginners, so no calligraphy experience is required. This workshop is great for anyone who wants to dive into calligraphy but doesn’t know where to start, or anyone who just wants a fun few hours learning a new skill with friends! Perfect for birthdays, girl’s nights, or team building events.
With your ticket, you will receive:
- 2 hours of instruction by Gibbs
- Supplies: 1 pen holder, 2 nibs, black ink, tracing paper for practice
- Worksheets and lowercase alphabet exemplar for continued practice at home
- Set of 5 cards and envelopes to create personalized stationery
By the end of this workshop you will:
- Understand the foundations of pointed pen calligraphy, including how to use a calligraphy pen.
- Be proficient in the basic calligraphy strokes that are the building blocks of the alphabet.
- Have the confidence, resources, and encouragement to continue practicing at home!
