It’s never too late to learn to tap dance! And with a playlist filled with Broadway show tunes guaranteed to inspire you to move, you’ll be ready to step into the spotlight in no time.

Join Studio K dance studio instructor Amanda for a Beginner Broadway Tap that will transport you to the stage as you learn foundational movement and light choreography! Since this class will be done on carpet, sneakers will serve as your Tap Shoes to help you work on rhythm and technique!

No prior dance experience required and this class is open to those of all fitness levels.

This program is presented by Studio K and is hosted by the Winter Park Health Foundation.

About the Presenter:

Amanda performs professionally throughout the Orlando area. While her main form of performing is singing, Amanda also has a passion for dancing, especially tap! With a minor in Theater from the University of Central Florida, Amanda took all levels of tap classes and has been tapping since the age of three. She performed with the UCF Conservatory Theater's dance program recital when she was a freshman. The most exciting role Amanda ever played was Katherine Plummer in the musical Newsies at Osceola Arts. She was able to combine both her love for tapping and singing in the same role! Amanda started teaching at Studio K about a year and a half ago and she loves bringing the world of tap to the Orlando area!
