Beginner Book Binding - Custom Journals

Learn the art and techniques of book binding by making two custom journals! We will cover two different styles of bindings, Pamphlet Stitch and Japanese Stab Binding. All materials are provided, including tools, paper and a variety of hand made paper for creating beautiful covers (see photos for representative samples).

You can also choose from blank pages or lined pages to include in your journal. When completed, your journals are sized approximately 8.5"x 5.5" and will be perfect for sketching, making notes and attaching keepsakes! Handmade journals are not only a joy to use but also wonderful to give as unique and thoughtful gifts.

Each ticket is valid for one attendee only, and we’re not able to offer a guest option for this workshop. Please note that a minimum of two attendees is required for the workshop to run. In the rare case that no one else is registered a few days before the scheduled start time, we’ll reach out to let you know. If the workshop is cancelled, your ticket can be refunded or rescheduled—whichever you prefer. Thank you for your interest, and we look forward to having you join us!

Note: We will be using sharp tools and thus will require everyone to sign a liability waiver upon arrival. This workshop is geared towards adults, but responsible minors of at least 10 yrs old may also participate with an accompanying adult.
