Beginner Beekeeping

UF/IFAS Extension Alachua County

This class is designed for beginner and intermediate beekeepers. This is the first of a series of workshops that will help you manage the needs of the hive throughout the year. After the smoker demonstration your clothes may have absorbed the smell. 
Some of the class topics include:
- Bee Biology - Castes & Tasks - Beekeeping Equipment - Smoker Demonstration - Honey Bee Development - New Hive Installation & Maintenance - Hive Inspection
Registration costs $15.00 includes class materials and lunch.  No refunds unless the class is cancelled.
