Before I Forget (work in progress)
A new solo show from the creative team behind The Mushroom Cure ("Mines a great deal of laughter from disabling pain" -NY Times)
What’s worse: forgetting who you are, or remembering every mistake? Before I Forget is the ferociously funny true tale about the impossibility of getting life right, told by a man trying to outrun his genes, his past, and his search history. Ancient Greece, artificial intelligence, Alzheimer’s disease, and open relationships all collide in a wildly inventive odyssey through memory, mortality and meaning.
Warning: May contain mushrooms, existential dread, and trace amounts of hope.
These are the final NYC work-in-progress performances before the show has its official premiere in San Francisco.
NOTE: Doors open 45 minutes before showtime, first-come, first-served seating.
Directed and developed by Jonathan Libman.
Produced by Carl Ford.
Written and performed (and lived) by Adam Strauss.
Praise for Adam and Jonathan's last show, The Mushroom Cure:
"Mines a great deal of laughter from disabling pain" -The New York Times
"Arrestingly honest and howlingly funny" -The Chicago Tribune
"A true life tour de force" -Time Out New York
