May we inquire as to what aspects of tying or being tied you find enjoyable? Is it the aesthetic appeal, emotional connection, communication, pain play, dominance and submission dynamics, eroticism, exposure, vulnerability, or surrender?
Despite the abundance of information available online, it can be quite challenging to find reliable and high-quality sources on shibari and related rope play. If you are genuinely interested in exploring this practice, we invite you to join us for Basic Floor Ties at Love Shack Boutique.
During this session, we will begin with a few ties that are best suited for beginners, such as the single- and double-column ties. We will also cover important topics such as consent, communication, and safety, as well as rope handling skills and ideas for rope play. Additionally, we will examine the anatomy and safety concerns associated with rope bondage.
Prerequisite: None. This workshop is appropriate for all genders, sexual orientations, and body types.
Must sign a waiver.
25 ft. rope will be provided for you to use and take home to practice.
If you want to also bring:
Your own rope, cotton, hemp, or jute (1-2) 25'-30' lengths of soft rope, 5 or 6 mm in diameter.
Safety Scissors
Everyone that attends will get an exclusive in-store discount to use on all purchases made that evening so if you need extra rope, etc. it can be purchased in-store.
This is a small workshop limited to a total of 12 people.
Bio San Antonio Shibari Sisters (SASS) :
Favorite76- is an instructor who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table! After retiring from the Air Force, she turned her attention to the fascinating world of BDSM fetish and kink where skill and discipline met intrigue and wonder. With guidance from an internationally renowned and seasoned rigger, she's honed her skills in both Eastern and Western rigging. Get ready to embark on an exciting journey into the art of Shibari floorwork with this passionate and experienced teacher.
Madame Voir- introduction to the kink community occurred in 2015, where she immersed herself as a voyeur and established a photographic collective of kink photographers. During this period, she developed a keen interest in Showa-style kinbaku photography. In 2022, she commenced a study of rope, not only to acquire technical proficiency, but also to explore the emotions, desires, and sensations that animate kinbaku photography. Madame Voir holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from Texas State University and is presently employed within the mental health field. Her area of expertise lies in the realm of behavior modification.
