About this event

Join NCCJ, for a two-day workshop, where we will engage in critical community building dialogue on topics including bias, discrimination and social power. This interactive training will include historical and current perspectives, affinity groups, skill building, and action planning.

Workshop topics include:

  • why this topic is important for everyone
  • the history of racism with an expanded lens beyond Black and white
  • how we are socialized into this system and how it impacts EVERYONE
  • ways to recognize and interrupt bias and discrimination
  • how to take action and build equity in schools, workplaces, and communities
  • going beyond allyship to building co-conspirators and accomplices
  • learn how to minimize harm

Yes, it will be hosted on Zoom and your link will be provided two days prior to the event.

Do I need to attend both days or can I just attend one?

Yes, you must attend both days. Each day runs from 8:30-4:30 PM, please note EST, with a break for lunch.
