About this event

T his class is for new and expectant grandparents (and new parents can attend too, so that all family members can learn and discuss the information together)!

Topics will include:

  • How families benefit from involved grandparents
  • Changes in birth and newborn care in the past 30 years
  • The importance of grandparents in supporting breastfeeding
  • Tips for healthy communication between new parents and grandparents during the sensitive time of postpartum
  • Modern c hanges in role expectations for new mothers and fathers
  • A pps, social media, and today's parenting

W e will meet on Zoom, and audience members will be able to write their questions and comments in our "chat box." No special equipment is needed; simply register here and we will send you the Zoom link to participate as we get closer to the date of the event.

These workshops are offered free or by donation; our suggested donation is $5-15. Pay easily with PayPal or a credit card. Everyone is welcome, regardless of ability to pay!

A bout your instructor:

A nn Thierauf is a labor nurse, postpartum nurse, and lactation advocate with 40 years of experience in the U.S. and abroad. She draws upon her experience of witnessing dramatic changes in healthcare first-hand, as well as being a mother herself. Ann is passionate about helping families be empowered and prepared rather than taken by surprise as they transition into their new roles.
