Frequently asked questions

How do I contact the group with questions?

For any questions or concerns please email us at groups@bellalives.org. We can also be reached by phone call or text at 443-502-0755.

How long will the group meeting last?

Each meeting is scheduled for 1 hour. That said, there may be times when we go longer depending on the topic at hand and the flow of the group. We respect and value your time and will do our best to stay on task.

What happens if I miss a group?

Each meeting is unique therefore, if you miss a week you are still able to attend when you are available. It is encouraged that you attend all meetings to help develop relationships however, we understand, that LIFE HAPPENS.

Will I be able to join if I am late?

There is a 15-minute grace period at each meeting. After 15 minutes, the meeting will be locked for that week, and you will need to attend the following week. You will be permitted to attend after 15 minutes if prior arrangements were made with the group facilitator.

Will I be required to give details about my abuse?

Absolutely NOT. In fact, we discourage specific details. Remember, this group is about healing, and we want to ensure a safe space to the best of our ability. When sharing, we ask that you remember to share the "Headlines, not the Details."

Is this counseling or therapy?

No, please note that support groups are NOT considered counseling or therapy sessions. While all information shared is backed by clinical evidence it is not to be used as a replacement with a licensed mental health professional.

Will resources be provided?

Each week, resources will be made available as a way to aid you on your healing journey. As we may come from places all across the U.S., If there is a specific resource that you need in your community, you will have the opportunity to work one-on-one with the facilitator to locate them.
