What do the kids do on the day?

The kids are shown how to safely handle a wooden sword and shield in interactive play with each other.  From there they're guided in how to work in teams.  Once they have the base skills down things move onto the more elaborate games!

What games do they play?

After base skill training and practice, games range from rescuing teammates from bandits, defending a fort, war of the treasure chest, army of the dead, battle of the kings, archery practice & challenge games...  and sometimes battling mighty mythical beasts!

Is there a level of risk involved?

As with any sport activity, there is a low level of risk involved and it cannot be guaranteed that an accident won't happen.  Facilitators are attentive and experienced however, and ensure that the setup of the games, as well as kid's play, are run as safely as possible.
