Beast Mode - CHFB

We started as a local event in 2014 and since then have exploded into a southeast regional competition. In 2018 we plan on hosting almost 1,000 people as spectators, athletes, volunteers and vendors from over 10 states make their way to Greenville SC for the Beast Mode Games!
The competition takes place in beautiful downtown Greenville SC at the Caine Halter Y where we utilize over 25 acres of field and facility space. Athletes of all skill levels will have the opportunity to compete across many different divisions and formats to test themselves in a one of a kind fitness competition.
Along with watching some amazing competition, attendees will have access to family friendly fun, food/drink trucks, and many sponsored booths.

START TIMES/FORMAT:
Elite and RX athletes will compete on both Friday night and Saturday morning. All other divisions will ONLY compete on Saturday. Friday night will consist of 1 workout for those 2 divisions and on Saturday athletes in all divisions can expect to compete in a minimum of 3 workouts.
-       Individual Elite – Friday 5pm-8pm; Saturday 8am-2pm
-       RX Team - Friday 5pm-8pm; Saturday 8am-2pm
-       Intermediate Team - Saturday 8am-2pm
-       Partner Teens – Saturday 8am-2pm
-       Partner Masters – Saturday 8am-2pm
-       Partner Open – Saturday 8am-2pm
**Start times are estimates only, specific heat times will come out the week leading up to the event.

- 3-Athlete Team RX (Male/Male/Male)
- 3-Athlete Team RX (Female/Female/Female)
- 3-Athlete Intermediate Team (Male/Male/Male)
- 3-Athlete Intermediate Team (Female/Female/Female)
- Partner Open (Male/Male)
- Partner Open (Female/Female)
- Partner Masters (39+) (Male/Male) 
- Partner Masters (39+) (Female/Female)
- Individual Elite (Male)

AWARDS:
Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each division.
Cash Prizes will be given to the top 3 finishers in the Elite &amp; Rx Divisions
Prize Packages will be given to podium finishers in each division.
The affiliate/club with the highest point total will receive a trophy to display at their gym. 
**Point total will be determined by the number of top 3 placers each affiliate has. (1st place finish = 3 points, 2nd place finish = 2 points, 3rd place finish = 1 point. Volunteers can also earn points for their home gym! Each volunteer = 1 point towards their team score.

1st Place: 100pts
2nd Place: 95pts
3rd Place: 90pts
4th Place: 85pts
5th Place: 80pts
6th-10th: 77, 74, 71, 68, 65
11th-20th: 63, 61, 59, 57, 55, 53, 51, 49, 47, 45
21st-on: 44,43,42......
This event will include live scoring updates so you know where your team stands shortly after a workout (Breeze Scoring).

CHOOSING YOUR DIVISION
Choosing the right division for an event is an important decision. You might already know that you're ready for an Rx-level challenge. Or you know that you're new to fitness events, and an Open division spot is more your speed.  If you're on the fence, this guide should help you choose. If you're still unsure, consult your coach. He or she will lead you in the right direction. 
Open Division This division is scaled, but don't let that make you think this is going to be easy! Although these WODs probably won't include high-skill movements or heavy Rx weight, the athletes in this division will be going all out! Unless you are an absolute beginner to high intensity training, the movements will be manageable and appropriate.

 Masters Division This division is open for athletes 39 years or older, giving those athletes a chance to compete against athletes around the same age. Workouts will be the same or similar to what you see in the Open Division.

 Team RX Division This division is recommended for the top 25% or so of the athletes in your gym. The weights will be heavier and the movement standards tougher. If you consistently do workouts as written at your gym and have a familiarity with higher-skill movements, this is the division for you. That doesn't mean we're going to throw in a WOD with muscle ups, pistols, and deficit handstand pushups, but nothing is off the table!

Individual Elite Division This new division will be on par with the RX Team Division in terms of skill levels and abilities. Athletes should expect a wider scope of possible workouts and should be ready to handle anything and everything the Beast Mode Games might throw at them.

Team Intermediate Division **New Division for 2018** 
New for 2018, Intermediate 3- athlete teams will compete in workouts against other same sex teams. This division is only for intermediate athletes, strength and skill levels between Open and RX standards.

Heat schedules will be released at least 2 days before the event start date.
Special requests can be submitted for consideration but are not guaranteed.

Event judges must complete the CrossFit On-line Judges Course before the event. Once completed, you can be reimbursed your course fee (~$10). Judges and Volunteers must also choose from one of several event training dates closer to the event.
