About this event

  • 2 hours

This course is a two 2 hour sessions focusing on the bearing systems on a bike. The class covers Hub, Headset and Bottom Bracket Overhauls. The ideal person for this class has either completed the Repair Fundamentals course and Drivetrain Overhaul (though not required), or someone who's comfortable with hub and headset adjustments and is looking to build upon that foundation. Bring your bike to work on and wear clothes you won’t mind getting dirty. PLUS, students of this course get 10% off shop supplies/tools on the day of class!

Due to product availiabilty, students may be re-installing their current bearings unless they confirm prior to class.

Please note the class is two weekly sessions. The date you register is the first session date and the next sessionswill happen one week apart at the same time and location as the first.

Frequently asked questions

I have some bike knowledge, but I'm unsure what class to sign up for?

I recommend taking Repair Fundamentals if you don't feel comfortable doing hub adjustments. This class has a more in depth look at bearing replacements. A great class to take after repair fundamentals.

Will I be installing new bearings on my bike? Or more specific component question?

We will be reinstalling your current bearings if we don't have the ones you need in stock. Please check in with a service technician before coming to class so you can guarantee getting new bearings installed.

If I can’t attend a session, can I be refunded or take another session from a different class?

We do not issue refunds for singular sessions, whether missed or can’t be attended. We also do not reschedule singular sessions. A full refund can be requested 7 days before the first session. You can transfer to another class up until 1 day before the first session. Please contact us for questions.

What is the parking situation near the shop?

There is a parking behind the building. There is also street parking in front. There are also metro transit stops on Lake and Minnehaha and the Lake and Hiawatha LRT stop is an 8-10min walk away.

How do I transfer my registration to another date or different class?

Follow Eventbrites Help Center instructions at www.eventbrite.com/help . Please keep in mind that we do have a $5 transfer fee, and if the class was purchased using a time limited promo you will be asked to pay the difference. If you have any other questions or concerns, please email us.

Can I bring my E-Bike?

No, this class is not suited for E-Bikes. As this class does not the ability to cover the wide scope of E-Bikes on the market. I would recommend setting up a custom class by contacting us.

Do you have an age limit for this class

Yes, we require a parent or guardian to be with a student who is 15 years old or younger. A registration slot is for one repair stand meaning the guardian does not need to buy another slot if they work on the same bike.
