Beading Circle

Urban Indigenous CollectiveNew York, NY
Thursday, Feb 19 from 6 pm to 8 pm
Overview

Gather with community for the Urban Indigenous Collectives' monthly beading circle!

Join us on February 19th from 6 pm to 8 pm for our community Beading Circle, where we spend an evening of beading and knowledge sharing. Anyone who would like to learn how to bead.

The Indigenous Beading Circle has been created with the intention of welcoming both Indigenous and non-Indigenous creatives of all skill levels to join in a safe and creative space for open discussion and knowledge sharing. Throughout this workshop, let's embrace the wisdom passed down through generations and celebrate the artistic expressions that have shaped Indigenous communities' identities.

Tickets are free for all Indigenous-identifying people. For non-indigenous allies, we encourage a suggested donation of $20.

Doors will be closed at 6:30 so that everyone can bead without interruptions.

If you are unable to attend, please cancel your ticket 24hours in advance to give time for other community members to book. There is usually a waitlist of attendees for the beading circle. No cancellations and no shows take away the opportunity for other members who have been waitlisted. If you are a repeated no-show, UIC will have to add you to the waitlist for the beading circle.
