Join us to help celebrate the kick-off of the 2018-2019 BEACON Grant Program! With the support of the Office of Mayor Muriel Bowser, BEACON will award $50,000 to local "ecosystem builders" who design programs and initiatives that support DC's women founders. Grants are designed to incentivize collaboration and inclusivity in response to challenges faced by local, women business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs. The launch event will feature an overview of the grant application process, a panel of past awardees, and plenty of time to mix-and-mingle with the city's ecosystem builders and entrepreneurs!

The 2018-2019 BEACON Grant Program is designed for women-led*, DC-based companies or organizations with creative solutions to challenges faced by women entrepreneurs. Both for-profit and non-profit initiatives are encouraged to apply. Through the Grant Program, BEACON intends to reach underserved populations of women entrepreneurs, expand their access to capital, resources, customers, and networks, and create a coalition of women entrepreneurs who support each other's success.

BEACON will accept applications from June 27-July 31, 2018. The application, as well as further information regarding the program, will be available online following the June 27th launch event: www.thebeacondc.com.
