Welcome to the heart of our community-driven initiative! Join Beach Squad every Sunday at Sun Splash Park in Daytona Beach, FL, for our exhilarating beach cleanup events. Open to volunteers of all ages, our mission is simple: to promote positivity and preserve the natural beauty of our coastline.

Time: 8:30am - 11:00am
Sign-Up: All ages are welcome to participate! (Sign up here at EventBrite, and we'll have a release form to sign at the cleanup)
Parking: Enjoy free parking in the large lot located by the lifeguard headquarters building, and directly behind the Beach Squad Beach Cleanup Tent.
What to Bring: Bring your enthusiasm, a reusable water bottle, and wear your favorite ocean-friendly sun protection.
Provided: Beach Squad provides buckets and pickers for all volunteers. Beach Squad provides buckets and pickers for volunteers to use during the cleanup. Buckets and pickers are to be returned to the Beach Squad tent by 11:00am.

Frequently asked questions

Where Do I Park?

Free parking is available in the public parking lot located at Sun Splash Park in Daytona Beach, FL. You may also drive directly on the beach (tide permitting) for a small charge. A toll booth is located at the beach entrance where International Speedway Blvd leads directly onto the beach.

How Long Do I Help Clean For?

Volunteers can show up anytime from 8:30am - 11:00am, and help clean for as long as they want. This may be for 15 minutes, or 2.5 hours, up to you! All buckets and pickers must be returned to the tent by 11:00am.

What Should I Bring?

We provide the buckets and pickers. Volunteers are encouraged to bring drinking water in a reusable water bottle, and their favorite type of sun protection. Performance long-sleeved shirts, hats, and ocean-friendly sunscreen are many people's favorite types of sun protection.

What Happens If It Rains or is Too Windy?

In the event of a rainy morning, or windy mornings over 15MPH, we cancel our cleanups. We notify volunteers, as soon as we know, through email as well as posts on our Instagram and Facebook (@BeachSquadOfficial) Volunteers may still help clean the beach on their own if they so desire!

What Happens When The Tide Is Too High?

In the event of high tide issues, volunteers concentrate on picking up trash in the parking lots and sidewalk areas. Some cleanups may be canceled, in which we would notify volunteers through email as well as posts on our Instagram and Facebook (@BeachSquadOfficial)
