硅谷清华联网年度烧烤会暨校友公投~BBQ & Referendum

Silicon Valley Tsinghua Network(SVTN) is a non-profit organization registered in North California with IRS 501 (c) (3) tax-exempt status. If you graduated from Tsinghua University or are interested in Tsinghua, live or work in the US, you are eligible to be our members. The goal of the SVTN is to provide a way for Tsinghua alumni and their friends to renew the old tie in past and to build new relationship for future. It is an organization open to public. It is mission is to help the new comers to settle in the new environment, and help all the members in finding new jobs, learning the cutting edge technologies, bridging the gap among different groups, and help resolving any issues among its members. There is no membership fee, but you are welcome to donate any amount of money to support us.

去年十月份的几场雨打乱了我们的聚会计划，4月份春暖花开，又值校庆，正是聚会的好时节！今年的活动格外特别，除了烧烤美食之外，我们将就重要议题举行硅谷清华校友的第一次公投，这注定将写入历史的时刻，大家千万不要错过！

报名费：Early bird (Before 9PM, April 6)                          普通：$15     学生/15岁以下/60岁以上：$10                9PM April 6 ~ 1PM April 8                          普通：$20     学生/15岁以下/60岁以上：$15                After 1PM April 8                          普通：$30     学生/15岁以下/60岁以上：$20 关键词1： 烧烤 民以食为天，为了满足被清华园内外无数美食惯坏的味蕾，我们的志愿者厨师团为大家精心制定了菜单，主角当然是烧烤。他们正在以最严谨的科学作风和最炽热的吃货热情钻研每一个细节，力争让那羊肉、孜然和辣椒粉的混合物在你的舌尖成功核爆。 关键词2： Potluck 我们深知高手在民间，为了让菜单更加丰富，今年我们邀请各位平时深藏不露的大厨们一展身手，为大家烧一道你的拿手菜！有兴趣参加的校友请点击<A HREF="https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSccdQawS__d7iNt5K7sUewFHJ-HFWUHs3q1355nxJojAmSZQQ/viewform" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">这里</A>，作品被接受后我们将为你报销食材的费用。 关键词3： 公投 大快朵颐之外还得干点儿正事，做点儿什么好呢？“公投”是2016年最流行词汇之一，英国脱欧折腾的风起云涌。我们这么多人凑在一起实属不易，正好趁这个机会追赶国际潮流，顺便践行一下民主。与传统的一人一票不同，在这次公投中，每个人的投票权和参与程度正相关。参与程度如何量化呢？类似去年的灯谜会，我们准备了数百道问题，从高考题到脑筋急转弯，从人文历史、国际时事到电影音乐、休闲娱乐。每答对一题，可获得一次投票权。正确答题数量最多的前三名将各获得一份精美礼物。我们鼓励讨论（但不可以google），希望大家在have fun之余结识更多的朋友。

 本年度公投议题如下： 紫荆和丁香，你会选哪一种花作为清华的唯一校花？ 议题背景（<A HREF="http://www.nthu.edu.tw/intro/aboutnthu1-5.php" TARGET="_blank" DATA-MSYS-CLICKTRACK="0" REL="nofollow noopener noreferrer">出处</A>）： 我们习惯性的认为紫荆花为清华校花，但事实上紫荆和丁香都曾经被视为清华校花。在1984年出版的《清华校友通讯》中，34级陶瀛孙校友曾撰文：“春天的清华园是极美的，到处是花，而以紫荆、丁香开的最盛。所以早有人建议以紫荆或丁香为校花。1931年春，校庆即将到来，夏坚白学长建议以丁香为校花，丁香花紫白二色，盛开季节正是校庆、丁香花一簇簇群放，正象征清华莘莘学子亲密相处，共发芬芳。” 而紫荆花则有和睦、团结之意，典出东汉田氏三兄弟分家，院中紫荆遂落花枯萎的故事。西晋陆机说“三荆欢同株，四鸟悲异林”。唐代诗人李白叹道：“田氏仓促骨肉分，青天白日摧紫荆”皆是在指此事。最后三兄弟因紫荆凋萎之兆幡然悔悟，决定和睦相处，紫荆花才又恢复繁荣景象。紫荆和丁香两种花从花色、外形和象征意义都有理由成为清华校花，我们的问题是，如果由你来决定，你会选择哪种花作为清华的惟一校花呢？
