Take home all the skills you need to achieve Bar-B-Q greatness. Bar-B-Q 101 is a hands-on 3-hour class hosted by AJ’s Pit Bar-B-Q’s owner and Pitmaster, Jared Leonard. 
 
Students will learn and discuss regional Bar-B-Q styles, meat cuts, preparation, smoking procedures, rubs, marinades, sauces and more. Jared Leonard will lead an in-depth class on his favorite Bar-B-Q style - Texas Bar-B-Q.  Students will take their Bar-B-Q skills to the next level preparing different meats in AJ’s 1,000-gallon Camelback smoker over Texas Post Oak. They will then enjoy the fruits of their labor and sit down to a meal of all five smoked meats along with an assortment of scratch-made sides.
 
The cost is $100 per person and includes hands-on instruction, all food (5 meats and assorted sides), a beer, wine, or non-alcoholic beverage, and a take-home gift bag that includes recipes and more. Private classes for a minimum of 10 guests are also available.
