Overview

a safe, empowering mentorship space for young men to grow confidence, character, and leadership with real conversations, and guided support.

Alpha Forum is a structured mentorship program for young men of color ages 10–18, offered in partnership with Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The forum is designed to support personal growth, leadership development, and positive identity formation through consistent mentorship and meaningful engagement.

The program meets once a month on the third Thursday at the Eastside Community Center from 6:00–7:30 p.m. Each session provides a safe, affirming, and empowering space where participants can build confidence, strengthen character, and develop healthy peer relationships.

Alpha Forum incorporates:

  • Mentorship and brotherhood-building
  • STEM-based activities and hands-on learning
  • Career exploration and exposure to professional pathways
  • Guided group discussions focused on leadership, accountability, and purpose

A meal is provided at each session, and the program follows a parent drop-off and pick-up model to ensure safety and consistency.

Alpha Forum emphasizes respect, growth, and encouragement. Participants are challenged to show up fully, support one another, and take steps toward becoming confident leaders in their schools and communities.
