CENDANA is positioning itself as an umbrella body with enough resources and expertise to reach and improve the cultural sector of the creative economy. With a large and growing amount of data, CENDANA will be able to see the big picture and diagnose the effects of one part of the ecosystem on another, funnelling aid where it is needed. As a government initiative, it is assured of being able to work for a meaningful amount of time. This allows for the initial experimentation needed in beginning this huge undertaking.CENDANA will act as a connector between creators, regulating bodies, private investors or businesses, policymakers and consumers. To nurture these entities individually so that they are healthy, while keeping an eye on the larger goals and continually refining strategies based on evidence.Through its efforts, CENDANA aims to transform Malaysia into the cultural destination that it should be.

After two successful years in engaging 376 young arts citizens through Borak Arts YOUTH Series (BAYS), a creative entrepreneurial platform for youths, My Performing Arts Agency (MyPAA) will be introducing #BAYS Plus, an expanded version of BAYS via a cool engaging summit for the creative youth/grassroot communities. #BAYS Plus will take place in Heritage Hotel Ipoh, Perak on 23 and 24 April 2016.  #BAYS Plus enables participants to immerse in the region’s best alternative creative world that includes visual arts, performing arts, fashion, crafts, music, literature, film and tv, design, animation and creative content. The summit will bring together young mind-blowing artistes, unsung heroes, alternative creative leaders, intermediaries and will include keynote/special addresses, a panel discussion, workshops, round robin sessions, networking platforms and performances. Youth citizens are able to connect and network, share ideas, explore possibilities of cross collaborations and build knowledge capacity. Thus, it is a networking platform for youths in the alternative creative industry that would like to break boundaries and strengthen relationships within the region.
