Guests arrive, get yourself set up with the perfect margarita from our margarita bar, walk around and prepare for the farm tour

Walking Farm Tour


The farm owner will give a detailed tour of the farm (with cocktail in hand) including the science behind the forages and grazing, natural fertilizers, and carbon sequestration.

Bayou Sarah Farms is Louisiana’s first and only water buffalo farm! We are a regenerative farm using all traditional, organic, chemical free methods of raising animals and produce. The ingredients for our dinners are raised right here and have never left the farm! On the farm we have water buffalo, chickens, bees, and an abundance of wild species all living their best lives. The water buffalo are very friendly, provide dairy and meat, and are key players in sequestering carbon in the soil. The chickens fertilize the pastures while producing eggs and meat. The bees pollinate the many flowers and the organic fruit orchard. Heirloom Cuisine is a well-known and impressive catering company owned and run by Sarah's brother and sister in law, Jason and Caryn Roland. Bayou Sarah Farms and Heirloom Cuisine are partnering for the first time for this event! Sarah takes great care in producing the finest quality ingredients on the planet while Jason and Caryn have spent their lives mastering taste and presentation; this collaboration is something we've all been waiting for! For this event we will have a margarita bar, a variety of tacos including pasture raised chicken and grass fed water buffalo, fresh salad - all with ingredients raised by us or our friends down the road (except the tequila, we import that/ leave it to the experts)!
