Celebrate biodiversity and take part in World Migratory Bird Day, an annual global celebration. This year, participants will focus on the importance of insects for migratory birds and the decreasing populations of insects. This event is suitable for teens and adults.
A BioBlitz is an intensive survey to document as many species as possible within a designated time period including plants, animals, fungi, and other organisms greater than one millimeter in size. The Battle Road BioBlitz will engage scientists, naturalists, and the interested public on public conservation land along the Battle Road between Fiske Hill in Lexington, through Lincoln, and including the Barrett Farm in Concord, the destination of the British Troops on April 19, 1775.
This event is co-sponsored by Minute Man National Historical Park, Friends of Minute Man National Park, the Town of Concord, and Concord Land Conservation Trust.
