BATHHOUSE SPECIAL CLASS - ENSEMBLE CREATURES

BATHHOUSE SPECIAL CLASS - ENSEMBLE CREATURES

Abrons Arts CenterNew York, NY
Thursday, Mar 12 from 7 pm to 10 pm
Overview

Explore silent ensemble work and nonverbal communication to transform a group into a single living entity on stage.

Ensemble Creatures

A special ensemble workshop led by Maks Turner.

In this class, actors explore how a group can function as a single entity on stage. Through silent collaboration, participants will work with nonverbal communication, spatial awareness, and the passing of energy between bodies to create a shared stage presence.

The workshop invites actors to experiment with dissolving and rediscovering individual presence within the group, allowing the ensemble to shift fluidly between collective movement and individual expression.

Participants will then apply these principles to create dynamic tableaus and ensemble-driven scenes.
