About this event

The Basics series classes run 45 minutes to one hour and cover basic safety and operations of tool and/or equipment instruction. This will provide all the information needed to be certified on using the equipment at Lacey MakerSpace. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.

Basic classes are always free for LMS members, with the exception of our BASICS Welding Part 2 course. (We ask for donation to cover the consumable material, but is not required).

This BASICS Welding - Part 1 course is virtual simulation only. This immersive experience is very similar to real-life welding. Learning how to operate the VRTEX simulator will allow you to use the machine on your own time during our open hours so that you can perfect your welding techniques before moving onto your physical project. For Part 2, physical/real life welding, go here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/basics-welding-part-2-physical-hands-on-welding-tickets-140953342241

For more information on the welders, go here: https://www.lincolnelectric.com/en/Products/k4602-1

Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple Basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.
