About this event

  • 1 hour 30 minutes

The Basics series classes run 45 minutes to one hour and cover basic safety and operations of tool and/or equipment instruction. This will provide all the information needed to be certified on using the equipment at the MakerSpace. For more in-depth project based hands-on instruction, we offer workshops and one-on-one mentoring.

Basic classes are always free for makerspace members. Individuals are welcome to sign up for multiple Basics classes until they feel confident on the equipment.

See the website for class policies: laceymakerspace.org

The Lacey MakerSpace empowers our local community to by providing access to fabrication tools and hands-on learning, allowing makers to design, collaborate, and produce creative projects.

We have a growing collection of 3D printers, laser cutter/engravers, cnc routers, welders, cnc plasma cutter, woodshop, 3D scanners, vacuum formers, embroidery & sewing machines, and much more.

As part of a 501(c)(3) non-profit we are grateful for the support of the community that provides funding and equipment to realize our mission. Our three founding partners are the City of Lacey, the Thurston Economic Development Council, and Saint Martin's University, who combined forces to provide a resource for community members to learn skills and grow businesses.
