Learn the basics of leather tooling in this hands-on workshop presented by <a href="https://tandyleather.com/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" title="https://tandyleather.com/?utm_source=chatgpt.com" target="_blank" data-msys-clicktrack="0" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer">Tandy Leather</a>. Participants will be introduced to essential leather carving techniques, including how to use a swivel knife and beginner stamping tools to create designs on leather. Attendees will leave with their own completed tooled leather piece. All materials and supplies needed for the workshop will be provided. Registration is required.Patrons MUST have a Garland Public Library card in good standing to attend this program. If you do not currently have a library card, you can sign up for one at no cost before the program. A library card is required to receive training certification, which is linked to your card and necessary for future access to the makerspace equipment.Our library programs are free and in high demand. If you register and can no longer attend, please cancel your reservation at least 24 hours in advance so we can accommodate others. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to register for future events. Thank you for your cooperation!Registration is required to attend this program. Patrons are given a grace period to show up late before the instruction period ends, therefore we do not accept walk-ins on the day of the program. Please check back at the registration link to see if any spots open up during the registration period. Registration will close at the start of the program.
